Part 1 - Chapter 1. He Is Not Worth It

Serena's POV. "You have no freaking idea how disgusting you sound right now." " Oh really? Why don't you tell me? You disgusting human filth." His voice hits me back with strong disdain etched in it and this increases the fury in my mind. I'm going so crazy right now. I step towards him and stand directly in front of him. "I don't get you. Is it because of how rich your father is you lift yourself so high you begin to bully and mistreat others anyhow you think? Yet, you have no idea that you are just living off your father's riches. You are nothing more than a bum as far as I can tell. You have achieved nothing and you are just taking your father's heritage as an advantage to bring others down just because they didn't have the kind of opportunity you have." I reply with some more fury and I can realize that the argument between us is already catching the attention of various other students in the hallway. A large number of them are behind him, cheering and supporting him, while a few are on my side. Well, I can't call them a few. I can only say they are my two friends, Luna and Cassidy and they are not cheering for me at all. They are trying their hardest to take me away from the fight. They are trying to stop me from arguing with the annoying fellow right in front of me but I can't stop. My fury has overtaken my senses and I just want to rip his neck apart. "Serena, you have to calm down, okay? Humans are among us. You do not want to lose control." I can hear Luna whispering slowly into my ears but I am not even bothering to listen to her. "You are so stupid!! Don't you realize that?!!" I scream into his ears and watch as he laughs with his head thrown backward. "Well, it only takes a stupid person to know who else is stupid," he replies and this makes me just lose complete control. I detach Cassidy and Luna's hands away from me and begin to stomp briskly towards him. He scoffs and stands bravely as though he knows I cannot do anything to him. "Oh, I would love to see what the feisty girl wants to do," he says with a smirk as I come to a stop before him and punch him in the belly. He doesn't even flinch as he looks at his stomach and then raises an eyebrow, staring back at me. "I'm sorry, what did you do? Because it just felt like a very tiny ant touched me and tickled me a little bit." I hear the laughter of his friends behind him as they burst out laughing at his words and this just makes me want to smash the entire earth itself. I feel Cassidy's hand take hold of mine. "It's not worth it, Serena, let's just go, okay? It's of no use," she says, and with her words, I turn away from him. With anger, I'm beginning to stomp away ahead of Luna and Cassidy while they try to Catch up with my quick strides. "Hey, reduce your strides. Don't try to be faster than your shadows." I can hear Luna's voice calling out to me far behind me but I am not listening. The anger in my mind has taken control of my motor skills and I am not aware of what anyone is telling me right now. I am boiling. I am seething with rage. Oh goddess, how I hate that guy with all my soul. I just wish we were not in school right now. I would have probably unleashed my deepest abilities and twisted his neck into asunders. Oh help me, goddess, I can't wait for night to come. I am going to summon the help of the moon goddess. She needs to give me this assistance because I don't think I can bear any more of his antics anymore. I am so done with him. I have had it for over 3 years and this has already gotten to the limit. I can't. I fucking can't. I am screaming endlessly in my head as I storm towards the stadium of the large school. That is the one place I go to whenever I want to unleash and cool off even if it is just for a few minutes. I climb up to the bleachers and sit down at my favorite spot before placing my backpack on my lap and wrapping my arms tight around it. I then shake my head briskly. No way, this can't continue anymore. I keep thinking to myself. I look up slowly to notice Luna and Cassidy slowly climbing the bleachers, looking exhausted, probably after trying to catch up with my speed. " Oh dear, you are so fast as hell. Honestly, if you could unleash this speed in the school racetrack team, it would be far better than trying to push all that energy into anger over Damon. You know that he is not worth it. That is just how he is and you responding to his antics is only giving him some entertainment. You are only increasing the fun for him. You know that he is using you for sport, Serena," Cassidy says, but I am not looking at her right now. My gaze is far away into the skies thinking about the evil conniving things I can do to get back at that bastard for all the insults he has rained upon me. I need to pay him back for just being so relentless in making my life hell in school. It is so frustrating. I can't go through one single day at school with peace of mind. I must surely be disturbed by this fellow and he is so relentless. What makes it annoying is that he is in the same biology class as me. Oh goodness me, I don't know when I slam my fist against one of the bleacher chairs creating a crack that upsets the chair a little bit and forces it to twist sideways. "Okay, you really need to calm down right now," Luna suddenly says as she takes a seat beside me and wraps her arm around my shoulders. "Take it easy, Serena, okay? Like I said, he is not worth it." I roll my eyes and huff, folding my arms with annoyance. "I am serious about this, Serena; you need to cool off right now. You look like you're on the verge of releasing your dark side and you know that that is disastrous. Humans are still nearby," she says but then I turn my head sharply to look at her. "You heard what he said, Luna; you were right there when everything happened. Did you see what he did? Did you hear the things he said? How do you expect me to remain so calm after all that? Do you think it is so easy to try to keep myself intact when someone as annoying, as disgusting as he keeps coming into my way every single minute, hour, second, and every day to make me feel so..." I pause in my sentence and clench my fists tight, feeling the urge to smash it against something. But when I turn towards one of the bleacher chairs again, Cassidy is the one that super speeds to my other side and takes hold of my hand, stopping me from making any move. "Okay, I think this will need to involve both of our helps because this is escalating to a much more difficult situation. Take it easy Serena, okay? We both understand he is annoying, but you can't change him and what you are doing; getting angry over his actions and reacting to him is only making things worse. You are simply giving him what he wants, and he is going to return, again and again, until he has probably made the biggest fun of you in the entire school. So just quit it and learn to ignore him. It is not that hard," she says. But then I shake my head furiously and snap my hand away from their grips. "You both don't understand at all," I declare as I get up from my seat, and with a single jump, I have leaped down from the very top of the bleachers down to the bottom of the field, landing clean on my feet with a thud. I hear Luna gasping behind me and I turn to see that she is scanning the entire environment as if trying to figure out something. "Are you crazy?" She screams out loud as she snaps her fingers and teleports to where I am standing. "Look what you are doing. You didn't even figure out if there was a human nearby before you attempted your super leap. Are you crazy? Do you want us to get figured out?" She says but I scoff and continue to walk away, flinging my backpack around my shoulder. "Yeah, she has no care in the world about all that." I hear Cassidy's voice behind me but I am not even listening to them. "Look guys, I just need somewhere I can go to vent out right now because I feel like I can burn the earth and turn it upside down if I don't find a way to cool off." " Well, I think I know a way I can help," Cassidy says slowly from behind and I am forced to turn to look at her with a raised eyebrow. "What is that?"

2. Energy In My Veins

Damon's POV. LATER THAT NIGHT... I swerve the vehicle through the night on the road, speeding through and glancing at intervals at the dashboard to check the time to ensure that we are not late. " Yo man, the way you handled that Serena girl was wild. I mean, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it throughout the day. You were harsh, man. I mean, you couldn't even cut the little girl some slack." Brian, one of my friends in the passenger seat beside me, says out loud, and this forces me to chuckle as I glance at the side view mirror of the car, trying to figure out if there are any cops nearby. "Bro didn't even consider that she was a person with a soul and could easily get hurt. I felt the blast of the insult you rained upon her, man; it was epic." Ryan, another of my friends speaks up from the backseat, but all I just do is chuckle as I brush my fingers against my chin, still moving my hand through the steering wheel on the road. I am trying to keep my focus intact and not allow the words of encouragement to get into my head. Well, it is something I find interesting. What can I say? It is just an action of mine that has been prompted by the determination and the impact of my father. My father, being the lord and king alpha of the werewolf pack, has always stated that half-breeds are the worst creatures to ever walk the realm of the supernatural world. They are what we refer to as pests, people that shouldn't even be in existence at all. They have been the ones that are the natural order of all the causes and disasters that make the moon goddess frustrated and create havoc when things are not supposed to be so. Humans and supernatural beings shouldn't be cross-breeding at all. It is forbidden and it shouldn't be happening. No human is supposed to be aware that the supernatural world exists. So anyone born of a human and a supernatural shouldn't be living. The person should have been executed right from childbirth and the human who had been involved in the entire situation should have been killed. But well, I don't even know what the hell went with her. Her dad, being the leader and one of the most powerful reigning elders of the vampire clan, really loved his stupid vile human girlfriend so much that he didn't think it fit to kill her and kill his daughter. Now she is living, walking among us, feeling as though she owns the entire world. The sight of her disgusts me to the core. Looking at her as she shines and moves around with that pretty, capturing beauty of hers is just making me want to smash things. Her entire presence stinks to me and it gets me mad hearing her speak. Therefore, I think it is my duty and enjoyment to just rile her up and get her frustrated every single day. She is going to wish she was never born. She is going to wish she never existed in this life, and I'm going to frustrate her till maybe she probably jumps into a lagoon and ends her life by herself. That is my plan and I am relentless with it. "Hey, yo man, the club is right here. Do you intend to pass by it and take us to hell?" Brian calls beside me, jolting me out of my thoughts as I finally look by my side to behold the large signboard displaying the name of the supernatural club we're about to head to. I immediately step on the brakes and bring the vehicle to a stop, then I relax against the seats and heave a sigh of relief. "I'm so sorry guys, my bad." "Yeah, shut your trap up and take us to the park so we can get out of this vehicle bro. I'm getting starved of alcohol, I need to get my night game on." Ryan says from behind and I scoff before rolling my eyes. Yeah, these guys don't care about anything in the world when it comes to alcohol. It seems like they have gotten so addicted to it that it is now taking control of their senses. I chuckle and shake my head before waving at them. "I am so sorry, guys; I guess I'm going to do the right thing," I say softly Brian scoffs. "Oh yeah, you should, before we release our energies on you." He says sarcastically forcing all four of us in the vehicle to laugh our lungs out. I immediately swerve the vehicle into the park and come to a stop directly in front of the signboard that read, MIDNIGHT HOLLOW, boldly imprinted in neon bright letters that display some flashy colors into the darkness of the night. I bring the vehicle to a stop and immediately unbuckle my seatbelts. "What do you think your dad is going to say this time?" Ryan says from the back seat and this forces me to stop. I scoff and roll my eyes. "Who cares? I am allowed to have fun in any way I want, and I am grown up now. He doesn't have the right to tell me what to do. " I say and watch as Brian extends his knuckles towards me. "That's it, man, take this," he says, and I bump my fist into him, watching as we all make a friendly kind of gesture as if our fists are hurting, and we all laugh out loud at the same time. "Let's hurry up and get in man. The party is going on without us and we might miss the fun part." I say immediately and step out of the vehicle as fast as I can. We all step out, and within a few minutes, we are already heading to the doorway. " Wait!" Brian says immediately, taking hold of my hand. "It appears you must have forgotten something." Brooke, who had been quiet the entire time, speaks, forcing me to look as all three of them give me a look as if trying to make me remember something. I frown as I observe them deeply. "I don't understand what is going on here, guys," I say, but then Brian slaps his palm against his forehead. " You see what I'm saying? The next time I tell you that you have STM and you argue with me, I'm going to give you a fist bump in the nose. How the hell would you forget that? You said you do not want anyone to recognize your face in the club tonight. You mentioned that some important friends of your father's might be coming. Are you seriously intending to step in there with your face barred to the world like that?" He says and then remembrance hits my memory. Oh yeah, about that. " Oh shit, I am so sorry. I forgot about that. It's fine." I head back towards the vehicle and open it to pick up the face mask I had managed to get. I take it out immediately and shut the vehicle immediately after me. Then I ensure that all the compartments are locked before placing the mask against my face as calmly as I can. I walk up towards them. "How do I look?" Brian gives me a reassuring look, pointing both of his index fingers towards me. "You got it, man. You look like the perfect description of a mysterious stranger hoping to get the girls." He says and I scoff before rolling my eyes. "That sounds so dumb," I say before slapping him against the shoulder and then leading the way straight into the club. We all step in, and then the strong, thick smell of alcohol and smoke wafts up through my nostrils as the dimness of the club meets my eyes first, and I take a deep breath. I am already beginning to feel sweaty due to the heat of the mask against my face but well, it's not like I have a choice right now. I might risk getting into trouble with my dad when I get home if I don't take this necessary action. "you guys should go on ahead and have fun. I'm going to catch up with you guys later." I tell them and they all smile and wave at me. "Don't take off your mask boy." Brooke recites to me immediately and I scoff sarcastically before giving him a pat on the back. In a few minutes, we have already separated and I find myself struggling to get past the countless endless numbers of people on the dance floor brushing and dancing crazily against themselves without even caring that their bodies are clinked together. A lot of things are going on as I notice a young lady getting railed at the corner of the club by a brutal-looking guy, and I scoff before turning my head to look elsewhere. Yeah, I have to admit that was kind of disgusting as hell. I think to myself before scanning the entire crowd surrounding me, feeling the endless sea of bodies brushing through my body. I can feel the many curves of endless ladies all surrounding me, and it seems to get my attention because some sensations are coursing through my body right now, and I'm feeling the urge to meet a beautiful lady as soon as possible. It seems like the moon goddess has answered my prayers because I spot a very happy, beautiful, attractive figure at a far distance from the club dancing wildly. From the movement of this stunning figure, I can tell that this person must be extremely drunk as hell. The lady looks crazy, as though this might be her first time taking alcohol. Man, she has lost control and she looks crazy right now, rolling and twisting her body so sexily to the beat of the music booming loudly in the dance hall. Her hair is moving crazily as she rolls her head in circles. It is so rough all over her face. She is sweating intensely and the dress she is putting on looks so appealing. It gives me the urge to walk closer to her. Damn. "Step it up, man. Approach her. She looks so hot!!" I can hear my wolf screaming in my ears, but then I clench my fist tight, trying to gain control of myself. Next comes her scent from the distance and my wolf growls. Shit. I can feel the energy in my veins. "Mate." Man, I can't help it anymore. I find myself walking and brushing through the sea of bodies toward that particular figure before another man takes my place. I know my wolf won't be satisfied with that thought.
